An Honest Review of Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL

Google Inc. released the first smartphones that they can actually call their own phones: Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. The devices were launched during an event in San Francisco and were expected to hit the markets by the end of October. The experts are calling Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL to be the best Android Smartphone ever produced. According to the reports, the Google Pixel will be starting at a price of $649 for the 32 GB variant while the 128 GB variant of the same device will cost around $749. On the other hand, the larger version that is Google Pixel XL costs $769 for the 32 GB variant and the 128 GB variant comes at a price of $869.

Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the first Android devices to come with Google’s upgraded voice assistant. The built of the smartphones is quite good giving them a solid feel in hand grip. Google Pixel sports a 5 inch Full HD AMOLED display, while the screen size of Pixel XL is 5.5 inch with Quad HD AMOLED display. Both come with Coning Gorilla Glass 4 adding a good layer of protection to the touch screen.

The devices also sport an aluminum body and a polish glass look on the back making the device quite shiny. The devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz and 2.15 GHz respectively. Taking of memory, both devices will come with 4 GB RAM intended to give a seamless gaming experience as well as allowing them to use heavy applications.

Google has claimed that the devices will be on par with iPhone when it comes to security and will come with a Pixel imprint fingerprint sensor. The camera will be 12.3-megapixel rear cameras and an 8-megapixel front camera aimed to give the best selfie experience for its users. Talking of operating system, it comes with the latest Android 7.1 Nougat and will also have a USB Type-C port. The device will also be waterproof and dustproof, which literally makes the device invincible unless you intentionally break it.

There is no doubt of the fact that Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the best Android device produced till date, but I would not count a lot on its security. This is because the device has already been hacked by a group of white hat hackers in under 60 seconds. So if you keep your safety, I suppose, this is certainly the device you would want to buy for sure.
